What to Expect

Our summer athletic camps are designed to be “skill camps.” We stress fundamental skills as well as the concept of team play. We are convinced that championship programs are those in which the players know and execute the fundamentals correctly. Someone has said that the axiom “practice makes perfect” could more accurately be stated “perfect practice makes perfect.” Camp is designed to teach players skills and drills that they can use throughout the rest of the summer to continue to improve their play. Also, we understand that competition is fun. Our camp features game competition. Each evening, games are played to allow the players to apply the skills in a team concept.

What Makes Our Camp Special?

There are hundreds of athletic camps around the country each summer. What sets our apart from the rest is the Christ-centered atmosphere. What difference does that make?
  1. We realize there is more to life than just sports. We are trying to shape the whole person.
  2. Each camper is treated with respect.
  3. There is a standard of conduct expected of all who attend.
  4. The staff consists of Christian coaches who genuinely care about the players they coach.
  5. The concept of teamwork, fair play, and unselfishness lay at the heart of what we are.
Housing & Meals

All campers and coaches will be housed on the campus of LCC. Campers must bring their own linen. The dorms are air-conditioned for the first time this year. Three “all-you-can-eat” meals will be served each day in our cafeteria.

What to Bring

Adequate clothing for the week of camp: shorts, T-shirts, basketball/volleyball/soccer shoes, socks, bed linens for twin size bed, pillow, personal items, toiletries, and Bible.
