   Intercultural Studies

Two tracks are available in Intercultural Studies: a Missions track and a Bivocationals Missions track. Both programs are designed to prepare students for entry-level intercultural ministry, both domestic and foreign, by equipping students with the knowledge and skills to incarnate the good news of Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God among all peoples.

The B.A. degree in Intercultural Studies (Missions) is designed to prepare students for traditional missionary service, especially the areas of evangelism, preaching, teaching, church planting, and leadership training.  For further information on the Intercultural Studies (Missions) program, contact the program director, Mike Nichols, at mnichols@lccs.edu. Courses.

The B.A. degree in Intercultural Studies (Bivocational Missions) is designed to prepare students for non-traditional missionary roles. Mission teams today need expertise from a large variety of disciplines and vocational areas. These areas would include education, teaching English, business, computer skills, media, health care, relief and development, engineering, children's or youth ministry, music, athletics, agriculture, etc. Graduates may also work with traditional church-planting missionaries. Their expertise often enables them to enter sensitive "creative-access" countries closed to traditional missionaries. For further information on the Intercultural Studies (Bivocational Missions) program, contact the program director, Mike Nichols, at mnichols@lccs.edu. Courses.
