Lincoln Christian College and Seminary Distance Learning

At Lincoln Christian College and Seminary we offer distance learning courses to enhance our overall goal of preparing and developing Christian leaders for the world.  Lincoln’s DL efforts are guided by the understanding that the College and Seminary are committed to the increasing use of technology insofar as such use supports and enhances the overall purpose and mission statements of the two schools.  DL courses at Lincoln are to:

               1.   Supplement the existing academic programs of the College and Seminary within the applicable accreditation guidelines so that students may complete their programs in a more timely manner by offering DL versions of existing courses more frequently and with more specialized focus than their classroom-based counterparts.

               2.   Provide new learning opportunities for persons not in a degree program by offering a variety of credit (and some non-credit) courses consistent with Lincoln’s emphasis upon Biblically-based education.

We currently offer courses via two modes; Video Correspondence courses and Net courses.  DL courses follow the same term dates and policies as our on-campus courses.  DL course listing can be found in the registrar's course schedule.  Video courses will be designated by a VID in the course number and Net courses will have NET in the course number.

Video courses may require a VHS player and TV in order to watch the course videos (DVDs may be available for some courses).

Net courses require a computer with internet connection (broadband) and some courses may require the ability to play back audio and video files.

For further information please contact the DL Department by email or phone (217/732-3168 x2321).
