Dr. Keith H. Ray became the sixth President of Lincoln Christian College and Seminary on July 1, 1998.
Prior to coming to Lincoln, Dr. Ray was President of Dallas Christian College, Dallas, Texas, a position he held from 1994 to 1998. Dr. Ray is a Lincoln, Illinois native, having graduated from Lincoln High School in 1975. He graduated from Lincoln Christian College in 1980 with a B.A. in Church Growth and World Mission. He also graduated from Lincoln Christian Seminary in 1985 with a M.Div. in Theology and Philosophy. Additionally, Dr. Ray received his Doctor of Ministry from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 1991.
Prior to his appointment with Dallas Christian College, Dr. Ray served in Christian churches in Raymond, Illinois, Lake Fork, Illinois, and Toluca, Illinois. In addition to his academic and administrative background, Dr. Ray is an experienced preacher, seminar leader, and author.
Dr. Ray brings to the Office of President a strong commitment to Christ, the church, and the challenge of Christian higher education. Under his leadership, Lincoln Christian College and Seminary has upgraded the campus facilities with the addition of the Laughlin Center-- a 30,000 square foot athletic facility and physical fitness center, and an office, storage, and work complex for Facility Management and Environmental Services. Dr. Ray has recently led LCCS in their largest capital campaign which surpassed its goal of $5 million and he has secured special gifts that allowed the institution to significantly improve their financial situation.
Dr. Ray is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ray of Lincoln, Illinois. He is married to the former Jeaneen Strauss, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. James Strauss, also of Lincoln. Dr. and Mrs. Ray have three daughters— Mrs. Ashleigh (Jason) Mauher, Allyson, and Abigale.
